Shahid Qandi Manufacturing Co. was established in November 1363 with the aim of producing all kinds of copper telecommunication cables and optical telecommunication cables, developing communications and creating transformation in the huge telecommunication network of the country, under the cover of the Ministry of Posts, Telegraphs and Telephones at the time in Yazd city on a land of one million square meters and Bazirabani, equivalent to 200,000 square meters, was established in sync with the latest technology in the world and as a new phenomenon in the field of telecommunication cable production. The start of operation of this huge industrial complex coincided with the opening of the production hall of optical telecommunication cables, which was realized for the first time in the country in 1367. It started with the production of copper telecommunication cables in 1369 and in order to increase the production capacity, industrial self-sufficiency and meet the ever-increasing needs of the country, it was developed in three stages until 1384.
In 1368, the optical fiber and solar cell company was launched in Tehran with the aim of producing optical fiber and solar panels, and in 1378, it was merged into this company.
In 1375, this company was one of the first Iranian companies to obtain the ISO 9001 certificate, and in 2001, it obtained the ISO 9001 quality certificate, 2000 edition, and the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
It is based on the ruling spirit of these standards that the main goal of the company is to maintain quality at the global standards and meet the expectations of customers, industrial and economic excellence and eliminate dependence and effective presence in global markets.
The principle of customerism and continuous improvement of quality and services is the definite and established belief of the managers and employees of this company to pay the utmost attention and effort in fulfilling their obligations and taking into account the needs and demands of customers and guaranteeing the quality of manufactured products.
In line with the third program of economic, social and cultural development and privatization policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran government, in 2013 Shahid Qandi Manufacturing Factories Company was converted from a private stock to a public stock and the name of the company was changed from “Shahid Qandi Telecommunication Cables Company” to “Production Factories Company” in 2013 “Shahid Qandi” was changed.
